ok I heard the coolest country song

Quote:
When I think country, I think the south, and while I lived in North Carolina for a while, I grew up a city kid in Oklahoma City and El Paso, TX, and this redneck thing is a change of pace for me. I live here in Idaho- the frozen wasteland. This here is potato and cattle country, and I have adjusted quite well.

your neighbors are like a mile away from eachother. I like that. our neighbors above us feed the bears. no wonder why they come on our porch. I cant take it no more. I cant wait for the move to michagan.

I live in NJ and I could walk around in my underwear outside and none of my neighbors would ever know. Nobody is really close. The farm behind my house is 280 acres of pasture.

Depends on the area in NJ really. My school is on 1600 acres of wooded pinelands forest. No one around for miles, yet ten miles away are a ton of stores. In North Jersey where I live is it all farmland. Takes about 20-30 minutes for me to get to any large shopping areas.

Never bene to Idaho, but I don't think I would like the cold! It's been super nice in South Jersey lately.

I used to go to Idaho every summer to visit my family. Cambridge, you know where that is?

I can't do country, its like nails on chalkboard. Well I shouldn't really say that bc I am a HUGE Johnny Cash fan. I also like Hank Sr and Jr. , Waylon, Dwight Yoakum, Bob Wills.

they are major country starters. if it was not for them it would not be what it is now. i love all of them also.

David Allan Coe...another good starter, IMO. I love "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash

Does anyone know the song "Phantom 309" by Red Sovine? That song gives me the chills! I don't know if he is considered country or not...I have heard, and like several songs, but I'm just not sure where he's classified at. Older songs, by the way.

LOL, I guess I'm more country rather than redneck. I don't know...too many people wear the dirty old farm clothes, the ratty old hats, and talk like they have no education past the second grade around here! I love my one friend to death, but he dresses very much like that! I'd rather see him in a nice western shirt, cowboy boots, a duster, and cowboy hat!

He's smokin' when he dresses for the horse shows! LOL.

Larry the Cable Guy is who I was thinking of...he makes me angry.

Ok I follow you now. Other than working on the farm (because the cows don't care how I look), or working construction (because clothes are too expensive to buy nice ones for working in a trench, this is how I dress "redneck":
