ok, im at a loss now

Try mixing the oyster shell in with their feed. Say for every normal sized bag of feed....put in between and 8th and a 4th oyster shell?
My birds have a large dish of oyster shell....they eat it when they feel like it. They don't overdo it. It's like they know it has a use and how much they need.
That's really all I can offer. I've only had a squishy egg once. My Austrolorp crapped it out while she was running past me.

Hey guys.

Thanks for all the replies.

Well it seems that whatever it was that was ailing them has been worked out of their systems, as this morning when I went to go and check for eggs and release them, I found 10 beautiful light brown smooth hard shelled eggs!
