Since the Saxony girls haven't started laying yet, I'm setting some from Quackers the Black Swedish, since the boy Saxony have been "practicing" with her for several weeks now, and she's been laying since August, being older than they are.
I have 2 saved, will collect 2 more and set them. Just 4 as a test. And for curiosity... will they be black, some weird dilute... who knows! I haven't had babies since June and I'm itching!
She's been fertile since sometime in December, honestly I'm surprised I've waited this long, normally I can't resist setting fertile eggs of any kind. Last time I bought chicken hens they were still fertile from the roo they lived with, so I hatched them!
Set date will be the 27th, for a February 24th hatch. Hopefully.
