is my chicken alway clucking because she is happy hot needs something?! im confused!
she is an amercanaua and she just started clucking ALLL THE TIME!!! just these past 3 days its reallly annoying!

oh does she sing when she is laying!! you can hear her all over the neighborhood! lol.
and if i put her in the pen too early she also sings to that!! lol.

Oh our Ameraucana is a talkative thing too. She talks to us constantly! So does our light Brahma.

But all my girls are spoiled rotten.

I have a game hen that clucks all day loudly when she is broody and cant get to her next box. I "debrood" her if you will, by not allowing her anywhere near a nesting box, and she roosts on trees and grump about it for about 4 days, and then gets on with it.

My hens do that too! She talks so loudly that my mom warned me about killing her. My hen talks when I disturb her from eating my other hen's food or when the rooster tries to mate her and pulls her feathers.

i think it is a status thing because ever since the other chicken started laying she started to get really loud.
