For any homemade rig, make sure you THOROUGHLY test it to make sure nothing's getting so hot it could melt a plastic waterer or ignite dust; make SURE that spilled water isn't going to get onto a lightbulb or electrical connections; and for heaven's sake make certain it's plugged into a working GFCI outlet.
