Yea I have several laying they’ve been laying through winter. I have 2 br that are laying and one buff Rhode mix laying

It is not uncommon for roos to mature slowly, and his feathering says male all the way. Are you sure he is one year old, he looks younger.

I was thinking but I just looked at the birds I have and he and one other pullet are smaller so I’m wandering if he isn’t a little younger because she hasn’t started laying yet

I would guess they were hatched later, and are younger then, especially if the pullet isn't laying yet. He is a very handsome bird.
