OK......one duck is trying to drown the other!!!!?????

someone please ease my mind.........on a few occcasions I have seen one duck climb on top of the other in the water and push its head under........WTH is that about...........are they........um.......ya know........mating...........is that the chick on the bottom being almost drown?

Is they are a female and male, mating but yeah, the duck could drowned. If they are both the same sex? dominance/fighting over rights to the water hole, i have seen it with some of the girls here, i usually break that up, something bad can happen...
