Ok-probably a dumb question but can chickens have allergies?

They are fine when the weather is dry, but when it is rainy they make a weird sneezy/coughy sound. No drainage or other symptoms. Anyone??

The coop may be getting musty or moldy. Maybe you need to improve your ventilation. I don't know if allergies are what's wrong with yours, but I have a rooster that sneezes a bit whenever I change the straw in the coop.

I just bought some "eco-bedding" made from recycled paper for my chicks. I have been using hay for bedding and it is very dusty, possible moldy too from what I have read. It sure does make me sneeze... I figured that it might be what is bothering my 4-week old chicks. They are a little sneezy but otherwise seem fine. This paper stuff is supposedly very absorbant and completely dust free.
