Ok...So am I crazy?..Or does this happen to everyone...

I always have dreams before my eggs hatch too. Sometimes good sometimes bad. Both this time and last time I had eggs ready to hatch I kept dreaming about them pipping upside down. Last time they all pipped in the right place, so hopefully this is just random worry!
Yes, it is like being a pregnant mother I think. The mothering instinct kicks in.

If your crazy then I am too. I always have funky dreams while the eggs are hatching or close to hatching. Had a platypus come out of one of my banty eggs one time

Last night DH dreamed I gave a newly hatched chick to a cat to eat. I think that's freudian, since he's been trying to make me get rid of some of my birds

Yep, I had a crazy dream also! I was in my parked car near a building in the city(I live in country/suburbs) and for some reason, my chicken eggs were in the car with me. I glanced over, saw an egg, turned my head for a moment, glanced back, and presto, a fully dried chick out of its shell was looking at me! But it gets worse!!! I then found myself out of my car and worrying where I had parked because the chicks inside hadn't the proper temperature....., well, I looked down the road, and a few blocks away had seen my car, hooray!!!! Well, by the time I had gotten to where my car was parked, it was GONE! I freaked when I looked up and saw I was parked in a tow-away zone!!!! Yep, these weird type dreams are a nightly occurance for me, but usually don't involve my chick eggs!
