from Indiana! We too are trying to be more self sufficient, organic gardening, canning, raise grass fed beef. I believe that the wind turbines do have a significant tax deduction but are quite expensive to begin with but are coming down in price. Good Luck!

Welcome to BYC! We appear to have quite a bit in common. I am 31, live in ME, about 45 minutes from Auburn.

We have quite a menagerie of animals here and we are constantly working towards self sufficiency. My hubby is an electrician also.
