ok so im new to hatching eggs how do i candle eggs???

I was wondering how i candle a egg to see movement ....i have some bantam eggs in the bator in my new hovabator with egg turner........i want to make sure there is life its been 8 days

Get a really bright flashlight and a dark room then shine the light on the larger part of the egg in other words the rounder side that looks like it should be the bottom. Then see if there are veins and movement. Here are some pics(not the best but...), and I hope this helps.
