so im pretty set now on the mille fleur d'uccles. i just wondered, well actually my husband wondered, what happens if we get a d'uccle roo that decides to be naughty and sneaks himself in with my buff orpington ladies? these ladies are supposed to be cloistered nuns but since i got a couple eggs with a bullseye ring in them, obviously someone is sneaking around the henhouse when im not on duty if you know what i mean...im not sure how this was being accomplished, but it was.
ANYWAYS ....anybody ever had a wild combo like that hatch out? we were just wondering what that would look like...what kind of poor bird that would create. anyone got pics? anything simmilar?

i sure hope someone knows, can a little guy do his thing with the big gals? i do a little bo egg selling on the side, hardly any really, just for friends, and id like to give this mill fleur d'uccle thing a shot, perhaps i can get some hatching eggs going, but we seem to have a couple of really '' randy" bo hens and id like to know how the HECK and who the HECK is getting in there, i have no idea how this is happening and i dont like it one bit. well secretly..........i do because its funny, but not if someone hatches out some strange mill fleur orpingtons. wait that might be kind of cool. not practical, but cool.

oh, well i dont know anything about color genetics, ive never bred for anything really other than to still be a buff orpington. i would love to know how to breed for mille fleur coloring though, maybe oneday in the far off distant future ..........i could make a mille fleur orpington, but probably not! i dont have the knowledge time or attention span! ha!
oh well, i think im going to build the new bo run out of adamantium steel and razor wire, because those must be some pretty hot ladies in there if people (chicken men..roos) are defying the laws of physics to fetaliuze some eggs.

They are a work in progress- Jubilee Orps. They used a sussex instead of a d'uccle. The f1s carry the mottling gene, but it doesn't show up until you start crossing back or something like that. I have some sussex x orps, but sold my sussex roo so I'll never get to try it.

Are
you sure it's a bullseye and not just the white spot that all eggs have?

My young and in love roosters keep trying to mate with my ducks... now that would be a combination!

I've had my bantam cochin roos mate with my red star hens.

We have a OEGB roo. He loves "the big girls" (the standards). We often find fertile eggs. I kinda want to try to hatch some. It is hilarious to watch Cosmo do his thing on the big girls. Most the time, he's no where near where he needs to be.
