OK to eat cracked egg?

I scramble them shell and all and give them back to the chickens.

When I have eggs with cracked shells, and having seen, and gagged over, some of the "ripe things" my dogs and cats have eaten over the years I don't worry about anything they might catch from such eggs. And, if it's just surface cracked, I eat them myself well scrambled. With uncracked eggs, I like them sunnyside-up and runny.

Yesterday I tripped up the steps and cracked most of the eggs in my basket. I immediately boiled them and made egg salad....yumm!
