Ok who knows about Rouens?

Ducks are funny aren't they took photos of ours this morning. DH said they were drinking from the boat, I was kind of puzzled until I looked out the window. Here is what I saw

I knew we had been having alot of rain the past few days but didn't think it was enough that the ducks had been able to float up to the boat on the trailer.
Got to looking closer of course the boat has to drain so the Ducks had a water fountain.

Take a closer look ticks the two ducks close together one has a greenish bill the other is more orange/yellow.. Male and Female.

Yes that is what mine looks like. Except A LOT younger. 1 has a orange bill the ohers have a greenish bill.

sorry it sounds to me like you may have more males than you need.

I would (if it were me) sell a couple of males or trade and get at least 2 -3 females to each male.
You know like ya would the roos and the hens.

Yes we did, she gave us her 1st egg in Dec 07 and one every other day for 2 weeks then would start laying again in a month. Boy those eggs are great to bake with.

we had gotten them in May 07 as ducklings. But he sure was malling her a lot that why we will get rid of 4 of the 5 new males we got with this 11 a couple of months ago... I just think it's better for the female to get a break once in a while .... if ya know what I mean??
