My younger daughter sucked me in and made me rent the first disc of season 1. I then went out and bought the rest plus the first 10 episodes of season 2. Managed to watch all of them before the Super Bowl so was caught up. Now I'm watching every week. As a person that worked with HS kids for 35 years I like the way they use music to get kids interested and then stick in a message--tonight's was especially good on drinking. Granted it isn't realistic but it is, after all, a musical--Mary Poppins wasn't realistic either--and the writers do stick in stuff that is of interest to teens. Also, I have to admit that even at 72, I do enjoy the music.

Haven't seen it. My Dad was in the glee club when he was in HS and loved it. He would have been 80 this year. I don't think they have glee clubs anymore. Is it a show that could keep 8 year olds interested?

Maybe I'll rent the 1st season. We got rid of the dish. So it's just DVD's now. Didn't know if we could do it or not. Working out well so far.

we got rid of the dish 4 or 5 years ago, and just rent netflix now, and we dont have network tv either. was pretty hard at first, but my kids read constantly now, and we get a lot more done at night! I love glee though, my dd and I are hooked on the drama.
