Okay, anyone but me watch Glee?

Glee is the show that I love to hate...

It started out cute, but lately its been getting harder and harder to watch. Its almost embarrassing trying to watch sometimes. I'm a big musical junkie, and I love to sing, but I have had to fast forward through some of the musical numbers lately. Just painful.

But I keep watching. Its like a car accident, you don't want to see, but you have to look...

This.

It stared off fresh and hugely funny. Not so much now.

I love most of the music, but the storylines are getting a bit too much for me. I don't let my kids watch it, and the oldest is 15. Maybe I'm a prude, but it's starting to push too many agendas. But I have to admit Brittany and the stork was too funny! Could we just get back to the great music?

I watched it a few times early on and loved it (sorry to hear it's not as good as it once was). Unfortunately, it comes on opposite The Biggest Loser, which I have been watching for YEARS. We gave up our DVR a year ago to save some money, so we have to choose now which programs we watch. Glee is cute, but I'm a die-hard BL fan.

Did anyone. besides me, watch the May 17th episode. If so, did you get through it without any emotion?

I have seen a couple of the shows, and enjoy the music and some of the messages, but mostly the humor is meant for teenagers, and I am usually busy or watching something on discovery or history channel instead.

but I did enjoy the episode where the teenager who was homosexual wanted to sing a part that was traditionally female, (The Defying Gravity song from the play "Wicked" which I am very familiar with since one of my friends are obsessed with the play) and his very macho father was very supportive but started receiving horribly bigoted calls. The son threw the audition so his father wouldn't have to experience that. The son explained he experiences that sort of bigotry every day and was sparing his father that same sort of pain.

it was heart breaking because I've seen that a lot. Such ignorance and hate *sighs*
I am glad the show tackles a lot of hard issues in a manner that families can understand, but I know it would make many parents uncomfortable since it does put different generations at odds.

I loved the show at first, but don't really like the way it's heading. If I had young kids, I would never let them watch it, but that's true for most shows on now.

i haven't seen any recent episodes. Are they getting past making good points and just starting to hit extreme to keep up with all the other extreme shows?
