I've done incubating and lived and learned alot over 2 years and spent alot! Well around 18 months ago I lost my whole flock to a pack of dogs yeah owned by the neighbor and though he was sorry gave me some compensation and was geniunely sorry my flock was gone. He penned up his dogs and is realtively a good neighbor, was there for me when the foals was born and dh was not home and the vet could not come. He loaded up his trailer and took my mare to the ohio equine hospital in the middle of the night when she put a gash in her chest and needed surgery so a good neighbor. Alot of friends said they woudl be really angry but things happen.
Any who I'm starting again... I picked up ameracauna eggs from a local breeder and these are john blehm stock she bought last year. I bought 2 dozen eggs and recieved 30 and now the bator has heated up and the beautiful blue eggs are in so wish me luck. They are due march 14th, just in time for spring.

So sorry about your flock, but I must agree that you have a great neighbor. I hope that your hatch turns out well. I will be putting eggs in the incubator for the first time this Friday, so I’m feeling slightly anxious as well.

Best of wishes, and hatching vibes your way!
