Okay I Need Advice and some Hope for my Chicks

Ill be there in a couple weeks, just started a batch for a friend and just at the point of seeing viens and teeny tiny bodies. Ive only been doing this since spring of this year but I get the same impatient worry every single time. The first time was the worst but watching them hatch makes it so worth it.

StephensonC Mine are on day 22 now. I tried the whistling Like a chicken and I heard one chirp back. I'm just getting tired of waiting lol.

Alright I got 1 chick that hatched and 1 externally pipping right now and no sign from the other 6 yet but still hopefull.

So at this time it looks like I'm going to have 2 chicks it looks like all my silkies have died. I'm really bummed out.

Ive had one chick hatch and have to wait almost 24 hours for any others to hatch. Then just when I think the last egg that pipped on the wrong end has died, I go look again and its already hatched and starting to dry. Persnickety little bugger.

I'm going to give it more time. The 2nd chick is almost out. Now I'll be waiting for the 3 silkies.

chickbrad....maybe your chicks are like Dcats avatar.....ticking off too many days??

But seriously, they can hatch over a 2-3-4 day span...they don't all develop in exactly the same time frame.
