Okay, Just Admit it...

I remind my students all the time that our university has an honesty policy. If they cheat they will be kicked out of school AND I will have to do a lot of paperwork, which is pretty much guaranteed to make me cranky. It is in their best interest to just do the work themselves and save us all the trouble.

Be aware that there are resources for teachers to search for plagerized (sp?) papers. It matches phrases and sequences to existing work.

It's just not worth it. Helping someone study is one thing. Proofing someone's work to help catch spelling and grammar is fine. Writing the darn paper for them is a whole other ballgame. Don't do it.

(If it makes you feel any better, your professors are really tired of grading and all that as well. YAY that school is out soon!)

Yea, but citing and using APA format prevents that so that is what I do... I'm well aware that they have other tools, heck they can put a sentence in Google and it will pull up the work!
