Tough times over here, to be honest, and among some other things my chickens have roundworms. The vet gave me Albenzadole, liquid, to be given at 1mL/pound. (I know the internet says 0.08mL/lb).

I have 20+ chickens and weighing each one sounds like a nightmare.

Is it okay to just weigh a few of them and give a similar dose to the other chickens who are about the same size?

I think my lightest chicken is a little over 3 pounds and my biggest is a little over 5 pounds.

I could see rounding the dose up to 0.1 per pound, but I think it would be dangerous to give any bird 1 ml per pound. The old dosage of 1/2 orally will treat a 4-6 pound hen. Bantams get less, and a big rooster or hen would get more. Be sure to shake the sludge out of the bottom since albendazole or Valbazen will settle out.
