Okay, wait....breed, age, sex? Confused!

My first thoughts of the morning: Cockeral and Pullet, not EE's and you're right, they look to have some RIR or similar in them. You'll know for sure if she has some EE in her when she lays an egg

Alright, I've had them 6 weeks....they are now about 7-8 weeks old.

DEFINITELY cockeral and pullet.

Crockpot the cockeral has a bit of an attitude, but so far takes good care of his girl. I put them out into the dog playpen (minus the dogs) and when she tried to leave the deck area and venture out into the open, he herded her back under.

He also jumped and pecked at me today for the first time when I made Stew sqwak. Little buggar

Here are some good comparison pics.

Don't they seem a little...uh...well developed for 7-8 weeks? They are like mini chickens! They get all excited to see me when I come home from work. Guess I am the food lady

My guys are now 9-10 weeks old. If it was not incredibly obvious already, it definitely would be now.

And of course, the legs are a dead giveaway. Guess which is the cockerel? ha ha ha

Now! These were sold as ameracauna/eastereggers. They seem to look more and more like RIR crosses...right?

Now that the sex is obvious....what about breed?
