Give them time. Sounds like the one will be out soon. Tommorrow night I'm gonna
ask you to pop open the air sac on the 4. They may need help or may be dead. It's
too early right now.

pop open the air sac?

Chick still pippin and chirpin at 11am..........man.they work hard to get out ! How LONG do you wait without wondering if something is wrong? Humidity is holding....no action from the others though......

They can take up to 24 hours to hatch. As long as you can hear
it then things are ok. It will rest from time to time. I've never tried
hatching but have tried to get out of a cardboard box and couldn't.

Sit patient. As long as you can see the chicks beak in the pip and hear it cheeping it is okay. Keep the humidity up. It can take 24-36 hour for it to finish zipping. They will pip and sleep, zip and sleep. It is a lot of hard work getting out.

No one can make the call to help a chick out but you.

If you do go very very slow. Chip away the tiniest bit of shell. If you see blood veins stop. It hasn't changed over completely from the egg to its own lungs.

I did have to chip away a very thick shell on two of mine yesterday. I did so only after one died trying to get out and I was too late to help it.

Good luck with what you decide to do.
