Love the pictures.

Depending on how much skin is missing.. Carefully clean the wound and hold the skin together with thin strips of bandage. Honey is an antibiotic and sugar changes the ph of the wound and both help in healing. This is an old fashioned dressing. If there is no way to bandaid cover the wound, then use a gauze pad and wrap the bird to hold the dressing in place...change every 3rd day.
(Currently being used by a doctor as a dressing for a little old lady back behind us who lost a strip of skin on her leg! Hers is covered by a shaped silver metal plate and wrapped in gauze)

Thanks for the kind words regarding the horses,

We did have someone interested in the horses after the other folks had to withdraw their offer, but it was one of those things where we knew up front how she treated her both her horses, there was no way we could sell them to her, not even her own mother (who is my friend) was comfortable in her daughter buying them... This really worried my daughter because she loves her Sterling and really just wants to hope that who ever buys them will take good care of them.

Sterling is halter and lead broke

Durango is just halter broke but was being worked on being lead broke

Both are just over 2 years old, had their hooves trimmed in July, if sold together they will come with 2 round bales... So if anyone is interested or may know someone we would like to see them re homed before OCT 8th otherwise we will have to take them to auction since our house and property will be closing on the 14th Oct and the new owners will take possession on that day... and we are driving out of Oklahoma on the 17th( Our blessed wonderful elderly neighbors said we can have one last weekend at their place)

I can get more pictures if anyone is interested...

Yes glad to get it started. Madison will be able to keep her show birds in better shape. I will also be able to hatch in there & have room to keep them without having to worry. Next spring I will continue to work on the RIR, NN & moderns. That is all I will be hatching for the most part.

Do you have an address or an road intersection to plug in a GPS? Thanks!

Hope this helps you. It is Hwy 59 & 51, the building is in the Adair state park if that helps too.

If there's anyone out there with nothing to do , I've got a granny friend in Texas who is looking for feathers to use in arts and crafts projects with her grandkids. PM if you have a bag of feathers you could send her and I'll get your her address. Thanks!
