***OKIES in the BYC III ***

GF cookbook is a great suggestion for faerielady, Kassaundra. I imagine it would be much more difficult to cut out wheat in recipes, I have to cut out soy and it's not so hard when cooking homemade, just hard when you try to buy anything processed.

I have a GF baking mix that makes excellent cookies, but haven't tried other things yet. The last few times I went to the grocery store, I just kinda got cranky and left.

Hi Jeannie,

Are you ready for the big move? We lived in Michigan for three years, so we have had some experience with east coast winters. You'll love the spring and summer, but winter takes on a new meaning in the eastern states.

I was allergy tested in 2009. 96 allergens tested, 76 recordable positive results.

Believe me, it sucks. Luckily I'm not allergic to soy, nuts (peanut or tree nuts), fish or other meats. Fruits & veggies, yes... plus many other things like the wheat, environmental, dusts, every kind of grass found in a yard, every tree tested except birch, etc.

Hi, my name is Faerielady and I'm allergic to life.

This is why I found a very highly recommended GF baking mix. Ain't no way I will be able to figure out how to cook with the variety of GF flours out there. I don't have the time, energy, or smarts to figure it out... and I don't really want to. Someone else has already done it for me.

That baking mix is a good example of people doing a great job of figuring it out, too!

Just saw this on okc Craigslist

I have one pair of Lemon Cuckoo Orpington for sale at $500.00. The add has pics.

Most expensive birds I have seen locally. They sure are pretty, but wow! if I tried to drop that kinda money on chickens think I would be a single lady real fast

See? Now you are all ready for New York. It's raining yet again. (Do you have rubber barn boots? Make sure you have room to put a wool sock in there for the chilly winter nights.)
Hope it's nice weather for your move.

Happy country hens

You are lucky there are lots of things you can eat. I know it is a hard transition though. Wonder if you will grow out of the alergies? DD use to be allergic to pickles but isnt anymore. Anything is possible.
