***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Fog was thick in my neck of the woods this morning as well. Made me nervous driving in to work - country roads & lots of deer - Yikes! But have to say, the moon was awesome this morning! Huge u shape & really bright. My daddy used to say when the moon was u shaped, it was filling up with water & once it turned to the side & spilled the water, rain would come.

no fog here, love that saying sharon!

coffee down, gotta go do the critters- ducks and geese are chattering at the gate- the only ones that technically free range- haven't had any hawk attacks since hanging the pie plates, hope that is proof it works-

so what is everyone doing for the day?

Good morning!

I have a very busy day planned, yard / garden work, cleaning, making yogourt, dehydrating squash, doing something w/ the radish (haven't quite decided what). We'll see how much I actually get done!!!

But first is hot cocoa w/ whipped cream.

now make that with coffee..yum!!

I almost never drink coffee, can't stand the taste, if I'm forced to in the winter to keep from freezing to death (a very real possibility for me in the winter) I add a lot of creamer, sweetener, flavorings until it no longer resembles coffee.

I'm trying to find a slouchy hat pattern to knit. My first world problem of the day...

Oh, and don't even come near my coffee yet... I'm not really awake yet. This is all make believe.

Oh I hope I have an easter egger!! I was wanting diffeent colored eggs. First saw them in a Country Home magazine earlier this year & that's when it all started for me.

Staked out the area where the coop & pen will be yesterday. Now the ideas & decisions are flooding my mind. I read that regular chicken wire isn't a good idea for the pen, that it's not strong enough to keep hungry critters out - any truth to that?
