I have a load of Bantam Faverolle eggs cook'in in the Sportsman. She sent me Salmon Black, Blue, and Splash. I got them from buffbeauty. She is hoping to come to the Shawnee show.

Jarvis, things like Marek's that's passed through feathers and dander is what's scary. And Marek's birds can look healthy & never get sick after their initial bout with it yet infect other birds with their dander: the birds at the shows have been bathed at least once and ussually several times, along with dipping to help maintain feather quality and reduce debris and dander in the under down. Standing back at 2 ft and not being able to handle a bird also helps reduce risk. being clean and washing and changing clothing makes sense but may be a bit overkill for teh bigger shows. the smaller county and 4-h shows where the birds are not preped as well that would another story.

Just got back from US Cellular about replacing my lost phone. I think those people are smoking something!!!!! Apearently I don't qualify yet for a new phone, even though I have been w/ them for 8 years and never got a "free" phone from them (somehow I've always had to purchase one). Not being fond of change I only change phones when the one I'm using quits working. I use a "dumb" phone, just to make and recieve calls, no internet, or apps, or camera, ect.... So the cheapest I can do is $160 - $180, or I can look online or at used cell phone places and buy one for half price, that is what she told me. I think it's time for plan "B", now to come up w/ plan "B"................................................................................................................................................. Anyone know how to read smoke signals? lol

I have 5 sebastopol geese for sale if anyone is interested in them. I have 4 curly breasted whites and 1 smooth breasted saddle back. I have them all priced at $45 ea. They are really nice birds.

Kass I worked for sprit customer service until we moved to our farm in may. Call us cellular. Tell them you would like to talk to retention. Not sure where you are in a contract but retention will give you the best chance of getting your phone issue resolved. Other option buy a phone on eBay. Basic phones are CHEAP.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not sure where I am either, I need to ask Gary, he does all the techno stuff, my eyes just glaze over and I start day dreaming about pleasant things like chickens and gardens when anyone even thinks about talking about techno anything. My favorite electronic game is pinball, one button / hand, operating one lever each.

Someone else mentioned a plan at walmart that I looked up, it is pay as you go w/ enough minutes for me for $30 a month no contracts or anything and can even get a refurbished phone sent to me free. (there were fancier models you could buy too) that sound worth selling my soul to walmart for.

The churches in town are doing trunk or treat-- where you line up the cars in the parking lot & hand candy out. Used cute tissue paper & such to decorate our baskets. Filled them with candy, but now I am thinking it was a bad idea. For the past hour I have been eating candy non-stop! Those mini Heath bars are so yummy for my tummy!
