Poco, I'd pay you to caponize some boys for me once you have it down pat. That's what I've wanted to do with my boys because I don't breed or show and they're all pets. I don't see why it's not common practice, there's so many roosters that go to waste because people can't keep them because of the crowing and fighting. Caponizing would solve all of that in most cases.

Poco, did you buy them from the chinese capon thread? I have been trying to buy that set but can't figure out how, or even how much. I need to remember to send him an e-mail when I'm on my computer at home. I have left him a pm, and a question on the thread w/o any answer.

I can't count the number of times I've looked into those birds. It's a toss-up between those and a standard modern game. If I found one like that one you've got I'd have BOUGHT it and figured out where to put it after I got home. Yours is gorgeous! I'm planning a pen for the spring, I'd love to find some of those. I keep reading they're real aggressive even to the hens. Do you think that's true? I'd hate to have to keep him by himself all alone.

they say they can be agraseve but this stag is not he set on my lap for hours today and has been verry calm with the hen . but OEG are said to be verry agresive but some are verry and some are calmer and are not hard on the hens . this stag is verry intelagent and seems to be thinking some time the more im with him the more i like him

With the rain coming down - and since I don't have any indoor roosters to wake me up with their crowing - it was a great morning to sleep later than usual.

That's what I was hoping to hear from someone 1st hand. I'd dearly love to have one of those and some hens. I don't know when but I'm going to get some.

If u have shamos that are true game, and not hatchery stock, the roosters definitely don't get along, and many hens don't get along. Sometimes the hens and cocks don't even get along, and can only be put together under supervision, and for short times only. True games are not easy to keep and raise. Oriental games are very people friendly, but oeg or American game are not ppl aggressive, any serious breeder would cull a ppl aggressive bird faster than u can spit.
