How does one go about skinning a skunk w/o getting stinky

I know it can be done but how?

Back in the 70's when fur was high I worked for a fur buyer here in Arapaho skinning coons and coyotes. He had a big old freezer that people would put skunks in. When Christmas vacation come around he conned me into skinning them on the halves. I bet there were 100 or more in that dang freezer. Might have skinned one or two with no scent, but after the first one exploding, it didnt mater none. My parants wouldnt let me stay in the house those two weeks and ended up throwing away some clothes. Made pretty good money on the skunks though.

One thing I thought about trying was skin em in a tub of water. Hands would smell, but should contain the odor some.

hey guys, checking in with some more pictures of silky mama and baby.... how long do you wait after day 21 to make sure all have hatched? my cochin is on a couple that don't smell bad, might be developing, not sure- candled em and see shadows but nothing else... these were shipped eggs, and sat in the post office over thanksgiving, not sure if that affects the hatch or not
