***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Hey cowboy how are the pigeons doing? I lost my first pair of 2012 babys last week when we had the artic blast. They were at the quill stage,parents got off to feed and they chilled in minutes. Have another pair hatched out now.

Is everyone ready for the big BYC format change tomorrow? Sounds like a lot of nice things about to happen. But on another thread they were talking about it cutting off some of the people useing slow connections. Hope it doesn't affect any of us. Supposed to be a lot of down time tomorrow.Just hope some of us old foggys can figure it out!lol

Is it the running back and forth that reminds you of dodos? Or that they stick their heads through the fence & expect their whole body to fit. They can be smart @ times. But I do have to admit, I have had several guineas do things that has caused their own deaths. Don't seem to have many suicidal chickens, definately is a guinea trate.​

Hey everyone!

A Monday has passed. Thank goodness.

I don't know about all of you but I have felt like everything has been in slow motion today. So tired, which I shouldn't have been got plenty of sleep last night.

Hope everyone had a much better one then me. Hope the rest of the week goes much more smoothly.

Well the new birds are all settled in the quarantine pen. Everyone is doing great. Hope to get pictures of everyone this weekend, if the weather holds out. With the new additions from this weekend and a lovely blue ameraucana roo I am getting from Jack, going to have to change around the breeding groups a bit. Still lacking much needed LF cochin roosters. If anyone knows of some I need a white, black and blue LF cochin roos.

Guess I could use some more LF cochin hens as well. I am thinking maybe 6 more.

That would round out a good starter base for my flock. Oh and I am still looking for a white ameraucana roo as well.

Dang I need to get my buns in gear so I am ready when spring gets here. Only have a couple of months before I start separating out birds for breeding.

I only have two LF cochin roos. Gregory (blue splash) and the Link (Silver Laced) who are going to be busy boys if I do not get more cochin roos.

Think I am going to bed early, well early for me. Maybe more sleep will help. Have a good night everyone!

I'm sure she would of liked them but she has a really hard time handeling the cochin as it is.

Beau sure generated a lot of discussion didn't he. He is a gorgeous fella and is a cuddly puppy in your arms. I have a couple of those big metal tubs for bathing. Had not thought of that yet. He might not enjoy bathing. There are some beautiful girls in his harem too.
Samson the Cochin is much bigger than Beau. The Silver Laced Wyandotte is about the a month older than Beau and only weighs 8 pounds....but he looks decent for a hatchery bird.

Sooner If Madison wants to show any, I bet we could work out a loan. Carl bred some wonderful CWs! I love the large fowl!

Upsdazy...you did a great job on that chick's rehab outfit!

Ksane...I love my large fowl, but those little OEGB sure grow on you. My little pair has taken up residence in their little nest box and are so cute talking to each other.

My favorite was when they would fly into the yard which had about 3 1/2 foot tall fence. Then they would about run themselves to death trying to find a hole to get out.

Okay now that little fella is more ready for winter than any chick I've ever seen! It has his snowshoes and mini-bob-sled all he needs now is the winter part
