***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Didn't you set these eggs on Jan 7th. I'm pleased with what ever you choose to do.

Yeah, they were set on the 7th. but I will be working nights the rest of this week and that swing from days to nights kicks me in the tail real hard, I knew if I did not get everything set and moved I would have chicks in my incubator again, and that makes for a mess, as well as injured chicks when they fall from 4ft to the incubator floor.
Moving them a day early won't hurt them and may allow them to better position themselves for hatching.

This little girl (?) is out of a batch of bantam ameraucanas I got from Banjojoe last October. She was much bigger than all the others that hatched. Does that happen often?

The bird has a top knot, and single comb.. Americauna? I think its a barnyard cross.

For those into the egg production and sales part of this fun hobby, this add was on CL today in teh farm and garden section.

Oh, to heck with it, if interested look it up, long story short there is apparently what appears to be a retail location looking for larger long term supply of pasture or free range eggs for sale to thier customers.

Title of Post is "eggs wanted"

Hi, Carl, Which Crsigslist was it, and what category?

Ok,
since the thread is nearly dead, I'm calling for Photos that always seems to liven things up.

First Up, Birchen Pullet.

Second Silver Blue Cock, being mated to this pullet and one of her sisters. I already have several Birchens in brooders out them with a brother.

Nice Pics, I like the barrel layers they look nice, and good looking building too. Keep the pics coming.
