DH thinks he saw a cougar last week. He saw it again yesterday at dusk. I hope it's just a big coyote. I looked for prints but didn't have enough time to do a thorough search. A cougar was caught on a critter cam in Coweta back in 2009. I couldn't find reports of any since. Maybe it's a big, overgrown possum; you know... the kind that leap over pipe fencing. That's what it did the last time DH saw it. He was driving his Honda Insight, a tiny little two-seater commuter car, which made him feel vulnerable when he saw the cat. Both sightings have been at the entry to our property. The cattle feeders are on the south side of the gate. Maybe it's stalking the cattle. The donkeys haven't made a fuss, and Vesta's not telling us to be wary, so maybe it's not really a big cat. What else looks like a mountain lion, moves like a mountain lion, and is as large as a mountain lion?
