***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Guy. I believed you lol I always have 8 eggs a day Ever since I found out they disproved that bull about not being able to eat eggs if you have high cholesterol. I did without eggs for years and was thrilled when I found that out.
Cathie, you've already outgrown the coops and you're not finished? haha! That sounds awfully familiar......

not all yellow chicks turn white- this is zigzag, a cochin/duccle mix,

Today while out checking on all the chickens I found a new face peeking out from under the pile of broodies. I took it and put it in with the other two newly hatched ones. The hen scooped it right up and it caring for it. I thought that would be the best thing for it rather than possibly getting trampled to death with all the other birds. Plus, with the other chicks it will have access to medicated chick feed and a waterer that it can reach without drowning.

The newest one is the one in front. It's whiter than the other two. Does anyone know what that means? Will it be white? I thought that yellow chicks turned white anyway, but this one is already white. All three of these are from the smooth feathered Serama bunch. They're so tiny and cute!

looks like another ee is considering broodying.... glad i didn't buy a bator yet.... she has been spending alot of time in the box- need to shift her to a broody enclosure if she is serious...got bit tonite, so i think she is getting serious!

I'm not sure what the real name of runner grass is, it's the kind that forms large runners like strawberries, that fan out across the yard forever, it grows straight through concrete.



Just googled it saw pics of the evil grass it is called burmuda.


I looked further it could also be crab grass, they both looked very similar to me.

Robin here is one I made last year inside a building out of pallets. Got a divider in the middle annd worked great for 2 hens at a time.

making money working on a sewer line is no where as fun as spending money on chickens

Great chicken pen Oldcowboy injoy seeing peep make thing's out of stuff they have around the house .. My sis made her pig a pen from pallet's..

Well I definately don't consider myself lucky, except that I would much rather have nasty bermuda grass then stickers. (I'm assuming goatheads?)
