***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Little known fact of the day:

Scientists tell us that the fastest animal on earth, with a top speed of 120 ft/sec, is a cow that has been dropped out of a helicopter!

chinese fishing vessel was sank by a falling cow

apparently a group of Russian airmen came across a cow. being the fools that most guys are...they loaded it into their cargo plane. Apparently it did not like flying and was not restrained...it got to the point that the plane was coming down or the cow had to go.....out went the cow...they got in trouble...

no henry was involved in the incident...several sharks ate very good

Hey Robin - was there mom road kill? Are you sure they're orphaned? I think well-fed possums are too lazy to kill chickens and that it would be okay to try to raise them. Maybe treat them like you would orphaned kittens - at Atwoods they have a kitten formula for infant kitties (KMR), and if you search online you can find recipes.

way to far even for a fun road trip like that!

I hear ya on the mixed feelings! I try to be all tough and must kill! but little things make me go all gooshy! I might have fed some orphaned bunnies to my snakes...I knew I couldn't raise them and well...a snake has gotta eat!

So... it is confirmed to be a myth?

Actually, I have read articles to that effect, that the necessity to constantly turn them is untrue. I think it was in Countryside and Small Stock Journal. The original concept that started the whole thing came from a flawed study.

But I'm too chicken to try it out.

After I wrote that I realized I should have said the "Myth that eggs must be turned 3 times a day or they won't hatch" is Busted.
