Jcat, nice tractor! I have hubby and 4 boys so if we ever get one I will never get to or have to operate it, lol.

I got home at noon from Shawnee (gave away all our freebies by 10:30), Came home and moved babies out of brooder in feed house, to the step up pen (part of the big kid pen where the big kids can see them but not get to them).Then moved the babies out of the house brooders to the feed house brooder. Not sure I will be able to sleep tonight without hearing little feather babies peep all night, lol. I came really close to buying some chicks at Atwoods today. They had one little brown feather foot bantam that was in the "pullet bin". He was calling to me but they guy said we had to get 5. I couldn't find 4 more calling to me, lol.

Got my 14 year old out in the garden to get the rototiller running. He got it started after about 30 mins of tinkering. He is a good help when he wants to be. He even ran the tiller for me for over an hour. Got a start at tilling about a 1/4 of the garden. We will have to finish that tomorrow so I can get some early plants in. I have turnips, radishes and peas all in cold frames but they are getting to tall for them so I need to remove the tops, just worry about a freeze hitting and taking them out.

Can't wait to hear how the show in Pryor went, really wish there was an auction tonight.

I got to thinking about the many cores that I have worked on through the years and it kinda made me laugh. The older International semi-trucks had both the A/C and heater cores mounted in the seat-base of the passenger seat.

With the heater on it drew it's air from the front side of the seat base which made being a passenger in one of those trucks a chilling ride, especially for your feet. In the summer with the A/C on your backside would often freeze because it would transfer the cold to the seat base and seat.

I was lucky that the heater core was right under the dash. Thanks for Youtube, I found a video on there a guy made who was replacing the heater core in a GMC that was only a couple of years older then mine. If I would have followed the instructions some sites posted I would be trying to pull out my dash as we speak. Some of the stuff out there is crap, just had to keep digging.

Youtube is actually pretty good for finding out how to fix things. I learned how to change the bearing on the shower faucet and install a tub drain.

Rebecca - Good work! I think DH would have a major cardiac event if I attempted to do anything like that. He doesn't think I have any mechanical aptitudes. Maybe he's right.

I got my swaps all lined up for the Easter Hatch A Long. This is going to be a lot of fun. I will send duck eggs on Monday and LF eggs the following Monday. I'm excited to see what I get in return. I was hoping for some turkey eggs, but nobody was offering any this time. Maybe next year there will be a glut of turkey eggs and I'll end up with more than one variety.

Rebecca, now that you are officially a shadetree mechanic are you ready to rebuild the transmission on my old 81 f150. I have the parts just not looking forward to crawling under it.

Just be thankful it's not a ford, I had a Cougar XR7 when it came to looking like I was gonna have to pull the steering wheel I put everything back together and bypassed it under the hood at the firewall and traded it off the next spring the bad thing wasn't driving it all winter with no heater it was trading it for another ford a pickup this time and by fall the heater core in it was also leaking... I was saved the chore a few years later of ever replacing the core when the engine blew up and I replaced it then my dog wrecked it and totaled it out I never let him drive again after that...

We gotta hear the story on this one....
