Boy, we had hard rain all night long....our rain guage says just over 3 inches...and still coming down. We need it bad but I wish it would get spread out a little more instead of all at once, lol...

No not a cochin, I am not even sure if it is bantam or large fowl. I can tell you it will be a mutt of some sort & it's black (for now).

ArtsyRobin...sorry to hear about Snowball.

Poco Pollo and Teach...I always loved checking in my keys at the end of the year....so much to do and so little summer. Then when I started checking in other folks keys I enjoyed their discussions of what their summer plans would be. Now that my keys were checked in for the last time 7 years ago....I've never looked back and now my students are chickens and cows and gardens.

Buster and Michael...that's a lot of redear turtles! What is Macy going to do with them, if you don't mind me asking.

Candled the eggs in the incubator: 16 eggs and only 4 left to finish out the hatch. Had a temp spike 3 days in the process and 8 of those I discarded had blood residue in them....buggers!

Rains started here softly thru the night and at 6 am we got boomers and now there is 1.75 inches in the rain gauge...still raining.

Thunder and Lightening... Everything was frightening!!! Knocking on wood!!!

Okay I will stop.

Woke up to baby turkeys crying. The babies in the brooder on the porch and in the transition pen are scared of all the booming and lightening. Some how this is my fault.

It is their first storm so they are a bit upset, poor babies. I felt bad leaving them but they are all dry, have shelter, food and water.

Well just one more week of school to go. Working on getting the classroom packed up. The art supplies are the hardest thing to get sorted and packed up. Most of the supplies I paid for but do not want to leave the class bare. I also have a ton of books to pack up and just stuff. I am a bit of a pack rat even at work.

Sure glad it is Friday!!!

Just rain here, no thunder and lightening. Hoping my turkey poults are ok. Stressed to my BF that they can't get wet. They're in a brooder that's outside & we have to cover it if it's going to rain.

Tara I hope your turkey's are okay! I have some that should be hatching & it is killing me to NOT open the bator.

The dragon scroll is like an online collecting game of dragons from this website: Dragon Cave I used to play more often, but can't seem to find the time lately.

I hope my turkeys are ok too! I won't be able to find out for myself until this evening.
