***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Someone forgot to tell me how lazy and laid back Dark Brahma are and how cuddly and lovey Ameraucana are. All the Brahma act the same and all the Ameraucana act the same-way different than my Cochins and Silkies last year. The Bantam Faverolles are 4 wks old now and little wild childs. Out of 6 Bantam Faverolles babies I ended up with 4 girls, a Salmon boy and a Blue Salmon boy. I wanted a Blue Salmon boy really bad so I'm glad I got one. I'll place the Salmon boy, there's no need to have 2 when I'm not even going to breed them. But I gotta do it soon instead of hanging onto him for 6 months, would anyone be interested?
Here's a Lavender Ameraucana and one of the Dark Brahma. Look at the size of the Brahma's crop lol They loooove to eat.

Is the weed fabric plastic/impermeable? I thought it allowed water and air through it, just not weeds. The plants themselves would be planted with some of it sticking out. Would that be enough air? I'm not clear on exactly how it works, so that's why it's still sitting around rather than in the flower bed I bought it for. There are existing perennials there I don't want to damage or lose.

Anybody have success with strawberries in one of those hanging bag things? I know I heard the tomato ones would break under the weight. If the grow bag is within the wood frame, I would think that would fix things. Runners probably couldn't make it, but would the initial plants grow with their tops out?

The weed fabric lets water pass, sorry I thought you were saying putting leftover builders type plastic down to keep water from dripping below.
What about doing a gutter? You could screw the gutter on the frame, fill with growing medium & plant a hanging type plant? Just a thought.

Thanks Mitzi for working on the repair, Robin is also going to attempt it, but I told her it wasn't urgent sice we have a month until poops.

I did another tile a few minutes ago--- I need to be in the look out for metal buckets & can do some egg pails.

Oh, forgot to ask what the heck I am I going to do with the quail I got talked into setting. Do they sale at auctions? There a Poultry Auction starting up between Jay and Grove at the Sellbarn. It on Friday the 6th or maybe this Friday night. Have to check it out.

please let me or us iknow when and where for sure. picked a flyer at the show in pryor, then out it up. now it is gone.

You've got talent at making those. You could make some breed favorites and raffle them off also. "Cochin Crossing" or "Rhode Island Red Roadway" for yard signs. I love those tiles.
(The above was directed at Christina).

LOL now that I have 14 guineas free ranging and another 8 that will join them in the next month I need one that says "guinea crossing" for our drive, lol. I have a cricut cutting maching but wouldn't ever find a "guinea" on any of the cartridges that come for it, haha.

What will you have to have on the quail?
I think the auction is in Vinita this Friday. The Grove one should be on the first Thursday of the month. Someone please correct my if I'm wrong on that.

Can't be. I'm only allowed to be wrong once a year and I was already wrong once this year.

We have 3 cricuts & you are correct, you won't find most things you need on a cartridge. Think we have about 30 cartridges, but I use sure cuts a lot software to over ride the cricut more than I ever use the cartridges. It is awesome, but provo craft sued them & the software is no longer available. I got mine when it was first released. I have 1 expression that I refuse to update so I can continue to use the software. I have seen new copies of scal2 on eBay goes for couple hundred usually. the thing is there is no software support, since it is no longer available. Mine crashes all the time, I am sure it needs some updates but I will never be able to update it! I think within time cricut will do away with cartridges since so many people are leaving the cricut & getting machines that don't need cartridges like the silhouette. If anyone is crafty in digital art & can knock out a guinea, game or Cochin or any others then I will be happy to cut the images.
