***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I am wanting some rose comb RIR & maybe some more hertiage RIR, of course I would also like some Langshan & some dorkings.... If I look at the page a while longer I am sure that I can find a few other things I NEED. Rose comb RIR are sold out until July, but I do want some...... Do you have enough housing for all those birds? I have a few cattle pannel style coops that will be empty after I process my roos. Hope to process them this weekend. I will have my sisters kids, so may not be able to process with the extra helpers running around.

I had 3 broiler pens, then bought 3 more from Grady before he skipped town. Each one of those holds 100 butcher weight meaties, so I think I'm set.

Speaking of processing, gotta remember to bring that plucker to the market meeting tomorrow night. You'll still be there, right?

We have 3 cricuts & you are correct, you won't find most things you need on a cartridge. Think we have about 30 cartridges, but I use sure cuts a lot software to over ride the cricut more than I ever use the cartridges. It is awesome, but provo craft sued them & the software is no longer available. I got mine when it was first released. I have 1 expression that I refuse to update so I can continue to use the software.
I have seen new copies of scal2 on eBay goes for couple hundred usually. the thing is there is no software support, since it is no longer available. Mine crashes all the time, I am sure it needs some updates but I will never be able to update it! I think within time cricut will do away with cartridges since so many people are leaving the cricut & getting machines that don't need cartridges like the silhouette.
If anyone is crafty in digital art & can knock out a guinea, game or Cochin or any others then I will be happy to cut the images.

I saw, on Ebay, some car window stickers like the family; Papa, mama, kids and pets - but chickens; rooster, hen, chicks.
Does anybody know how to make them?

I will be at the meeting tomorrow night. I didn't realize you had that many broiler pens! Hope you are doing a BIG feed order!

I can make the decals, with outdoor vinyl that would stay on car windows, but finding the images is the challenge. Alot of people draw their own images in inkscape, but that is not a strong point of mine. I prefer to find dingbat fonts or SVG files that I can just upload & add my touch to then press cut. -- I don't have any white vinyl on hand right now, but getting more vinyl is the easy part!

I have several roosters & hen images, but can't find any cute chicks, I will keep looking.

I'm in for a drink break. It's hot out there. I hope the babies I put in an outdoor pen today will enjoy the extra space. The first thing they did, one after the next, was fly the length of the pen. I think these little guys were stunt pilots in another life. I'm disappointed that so many in this group don't have a full crest and beard. Some have Mohawks, and others have razor tops, and only two have large crests.
These birds are so cool looking!

I love the personalities on the Ameraucanas and Dark Brahmas both. I think you'd really enjoy the Brahmas, I pick up the baby chicks and their legs just hang there and they stare at me. They're so super calm. We've got 2 Marans boys here that are the best tempered & calmest I've ever known, I'm hoping the Brahma turn out like that.

Thanks Mitzi, I will see if any of those are formated correctly. I emailed a few ladies that create custom SVG files to see if I could get a few good poultry related cut files.

Those silkies look awfully cute, but I really don't want any bantams. Prefer LF, then they seem like farm animals and not as pet like.

Just a few pics from today, but no chicken pics in this group.

Progress, 1/2 the roof including roofing material installed.
