***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Was in Shawnee for a dentist appointment this morning and was thinking about those that live nearby that I could bug... err... visit, while in town if I only knew who you were. I can't wait to meet everybody at POOPS!

The Nuclear test tech said it would 3 - 5 days for the doctor to call me with the results. That stress test was a killer...the incline on the treadmill was 10 degrees.

Saw chicks sticking their little heads out from under one of my broodies today. Wasnt expecting to see this till Sat. Set 12 eggs under new broodie today also.

I tried to peek under our broody but YIKES that girl is serious about her eggs. I didn't hear any small peeps but who knows since the girls in the laying pen next door were fussing over fresh greens Jack tossed to them. I may try again tomorrow. She has eggs due anywhere from today to the next 3 she was stealing eggs for a few days, lol.

Wow! Got a riding lawn mower from my parents and dang does it ever make a difference! So glad I won't have to use that push mower again!! I think DH was jealous tho, he kept watching me and suggesting it was time for the girls to go in.... yeah, uh huh, then take them in :p

That treadmill is a killer or at least as near to one as I want to get. Ask your Doctor about the chemical stress test. It was rough enough a few years ago but I've had two of them this year at the Ok Heart Institute and they were fairly tolerable. Hope your results are good.

Hope the test turns up good. When I did my stress test awhile back they must have thought someone out of shape as bad as me would probable stroke out if they made me do the tread mill. They gave me a shot that opened my arteries like the tread mill would. Who says it dont pay to be fat.

I'll have to remember the chemical test,I hate it when they go to talking stress test. Altho my heart dr. has been pretty good about not requireing one since I had the diagphram problems. He doesn't want to be blamed for me being in that shape again!lol.
Storms have gone around us today and so has the rain. We do need some.
Boy all these baby chicks keep a guy busy! Just changing litter papers takes while.
Wife is actually concidering jobs back in Okla. this go around. She has put a couple of apps in on line for places back there. Keep your fingers crossed she gets one of them. If anyone finds any adds for Director of Nurses back there clip them out and send them to her. Would have to be in the eastern part of the state. Pm me if you need an address.

Have a chick question. I am getting a lot of chicks this time that seem too start feathering real fast. We are talking days old! Then the wings either fluff out and droop or the feathers stick almost straight Out. The chicks are puny and listless and aren't doing well. Reckon it's not enough protein or to much or not enough heat or to much? What should I give them. I have been putting sugar and electrolytes in their water. They are on strictly purina medicated started. Seems to effect the bantams more . Think I should go to game bird starter?
