Well Howdy Good Okies!
I know, I know...long time no posting...but I wanted to pop on and say hi to my old friends...not that ya'll are old...just that I've had ya as friends for quite awhile now!

Also, I wanted to say hello to all of the newbies and folks that I've not yet met. I can't wait to see you all because POOPS is Saturday!!!

I am sooooo excited! It has been far too long!

I am bringing lots of fun stuff to sell and/or swap! Fun chicken & poultry fabric totebags, chicken charm bracelets, and whatever else I can round up...along with raffle items to throw in for good measure...NanaKat...I have to get my raffle items on the list...

Anyway I know this is brief but I just wanted to ninja post at least! See you all on Saturday!

That's awesome!!! My Oscars go crazy over the buggs. The Hissers are so big and have such sharp legs that I freeze them 1st and cut off their legs. I don't have the heart to cut their legs off while they're alive. What color Oscar did you get????

Choctaw park is a nice big place with lots of area for kids to run. Does anyone go GeoCashing? When my Brother, Sister-in-Law and Nephew visited two Summers ago we found some good cashes in the park.

Oh, I am SO sorry! The Dominique cockerel is out. I was going to bring him because I have two and only a few hens, but coyotes got my best rooster, so this one is getting promoted.

It's normal nothing fancy my last one had a cool question mark on each side this one is a little over a year old and only about 4 inches long I am betting he will put on some size in a hurry

I love my "plain" Tiger Oscar! They're all fancy, Bill! Don't let him hear you talk that way
Did you know stunting is caused by high nitrates (ie not enough water changes) and not the size tank they're in? Course it'd be hard to keep nitrates low in a small tank so that adds to the problem. This magazine editor did an experiment and did 100% daily water changes on a 30 gal Oscar tank (too small) just to prove his point. I can't believe mine are all 5 yrs old this year. They really are great pets, not what you'd expect from a fish.
