I looked into attempting to breed Lemon Blue. It seems you need a Brown Red to a Blue hen. I've got some hens but couldn't find a BR standard sized Cochin anywhere I looked. I got my Gold Laced & SIlver Laced from the couple on Ebay in AZ. She was going to send me some Lemon Blues for just the cost of shipping because she was late shipping the Laced eggs but I didn't hear from her again. She's a nice lady, just a bit scattered and I don't think she can keep up well with the demand. Her version of Lemon Blue is really pretty, it's different. She used Buffs and Blues. Of course there's no standard for it anyway so you can do whatever version you want. I tell ya-if I could find a brown red Cochin boy or some Brown/Red eggs I believe I'd give it a shot.

One sold a couple of weeks ago at the Newcastle auction. I did not find out until after it sold that the was the Roo I need to breed with my hen for LB's. I wish I new who boiught it. I think that my LB's came from somebody here in Newcastle but they are not on BYC's. Maybe Modernman can tell me if Bo Garret has any.

You've got me really wanting to give it a shot again now. Did any of the eggs you gave your brother hatch?

N0pe, they candled out good but never developed, I do have a hen sitting in some eggs but I do not know what they are. Just waiting to see what will hatch.

Well I'm going to try to get on someone's waiting list for eggs. I just don't think any breed can compare to the big Cochins.

today was the final for the 6 county 4H show we are verry proud of dustin he got 2nd place on the judgeing contest and champ for adir county and 8th place over all 6 countys
