***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Well of course. I don't want to risk asking normal people and having them say no :-O
I may be weak-willed but I'm not stupid. Sheesh.

ROFL! Well I would be the wrong person to ask. Heck I am going to drive 20 miles twice a day to check eggs and feed feather babies all during our 3 weeks of fireworks. That is how badly I want to keep my bator going, haha.

I am going to have to thin some pens down this weekend just to have room for all the hatches. So I will have splash marans, cuckoo marans and possibly some buff orphingtons and black australorps headed to auction this week. All in the name of hatching, lol.

Mitzi favorells make pretty Roos so you could have luck selling them, I hardly ever see them at the auction.

Bill happy birthday, I did think of you when all those BR where there. Thought about several that I knew where after BR or just layers in general but both of my girls said MOM No! The van is full!

The surprise chick was way unexpected because DD thought she only set guinea eggs. I went as far as pulling out P&B NN eggs & candling them since I thought maybe they were off by a week! (I did find 1 quiter when I candled them).

City Clucks by the end of the wk those keets will be taking flight so make sure the box is covered or you will be in for a real guinea chase!

Today is Alexis last day of school but Taron still has school until Thursday. Taron isn't complaining one bit. She loves hanging out with her friends at school. I know us girls are going to stay plenty busy all summer long.

Mitzi have you checked out the crazy 24 hour auction thread. It is under the swaps & meet ups. They always list lots of nice eggs there. Different stuff than in the for sale section usually.

I'm on my way right now, thank you lol!
Edit: Shoot, it looks like they closed it, that figures.

RetiredArmyWife - I'm glad I'm not the only one! I won't be able to keep the chicks from my planned broody experiment since there are rules about how many chickens we're allowed in the city limits and I am already more than full up on clucks. I am really just tired of trying to break broody hens out of their hormone-induced mania by taking them off the nest every 30 minutes - I figure it will be easier just to let her set on some fertile eggs.
I hear ya! Hatching just sounds like so much work. I think for the next few years at least if I get a chick hatched it will be on accident.
