my local coop keeps it in stock. Youd think with all this rain they'd get it in.

Hiya Everyone, Thought anyone with snake or potential snake problems might find this usefull, I was at walmart a couple days ago and saw this and thought, I bet that would work!! and so tried it out, today I went to check my experiment and it was an absolute success!! I removed the rat snake from the trap and reset it with a couple fresh eggs and set it back in the coop floor next to the wall.

So its not only my TSC who employs city kids? lol. Im just joking, people gotta support themselfs, my TSC is at least VERY friendly and will go to lengths to get you what you need. I tend to buy feed at TSC because Atwoods only carries 40lb bags and TSC has 50lb bags. Its also more conveniant for me sense TSC is right behind wal-mart, were I work.

The snakecage thingy is so cool i gotta have one to catch lots of pretty slithering snakies, where you get it at in walmart?

Yeah in sporting goods it's just a minnow trap and the funny thing is I know I have 2 of them somewhere I just need to find them LOL

I didn't have any trouble removing the snake but I'm a snake person anyway, I just opened the trap and took it out it didn't even offer to bite unless its just agitated or your hurting it rat snakes tend to be kinda docile and not to hard to handle, Bull snakes on the other hand are born with a bad attitude LOL

I guess you could place it in the fridge till it goes somewhat dormant and then take it out or take it somewhere and relocate it

Had a busy day! and went with Peaches to get Chickens and when we did that we met some really nice folks and we invited them to check out our Okies Thread

We meet with a Realtor next Friday at 5:30 to see if listing our current home on Four Little Acres and looking for another home in a more private rural setting is feasable.. So the kids and I have been up at 7 and outside by 8 getting barn chores and yard work done.... It is nice to have my kids home to give me that added extra BIG HELP...

Thank you guys for all your comments regarding the dilema with my broody girls and the nesting boxes being up so high and the concern I had about the height issue...

I have a strange feeling that any and all chicks that hatch out from my girls are gonna be a naked neck of something... Yosimite Sam is the MAIN MAN on the homestead and my other roos dont ever have a chance when it comes to tagging the ladies... lol

Anyhow I hope everyone is doing well

JEANNIE
