The Humane Society does wonderful things and it is the ASPCA. The humane society of the united states, HSUS, is another branch of the other very evil group that is unmentionable. If you look at the financial records of the two groups they constantly shift money back and forth and the goal of both is no animal ownership, whatsoever.

The first group was getting too much heat from the activity of their activists and their donations were starting to tank, enter the HSUS. Donations went up and the founders were flush again and all was right in their world.

They chose a good name because people that donate to them confuse them with the ASPCA and the local Humane Societys. Fact is they have no shelters, oh they do throw a few donations to local shelters but it is just a drop in the bucket to what they take in. Nearly all of the "grunt" work is done by volunteers that donate their time and money so they have nearly no overhead.

I hope that I have chosen my words carefully as to not endanger the thread. I am not trying to start a discussion on the subject just stating a few
facts. Research is what I'm good at, curious minds want to know. LOL

Buster I had a girl on Etsy make my logo, think Inkblot was her seller name. She did the logo in every type of file I requested so I can order my own cards & signs make my own labels & such.
If you watch groupon they run specials $70 for $17 of vista print. We use the groupons to order cards, stickers t-shirts & our signs. Has been the best groupon investment ever.

Lynn your produce looks good! Imagine it keeps you busy. The girls & I do at least 2 hours a day in the garden without touching any weeds.

Buster- the groupon deal I bought 1 in Jan & another in May. I have been watching for It to run again. I don't want to miss out! The lady that did my logo was awesome. I sent her a dz or so logos I liked so she would know my desire & within a wk I had my own logo.

Done with my lunch break. Time to check the animals. They were penned up all morning since we went to market. We brought home 7 or 8 peppers & maybe 2 lbs of squash. 6 pks of eggs were a BIG bit. Sold lots of 6 pks & 1 - 30pk.

Good Morning Mefordz

thank you bfrancis, found out who mefordz was, or is. i have been doing some reading, seems mabey mefordz was right about some on here.
also found some realy nice people whom i hope to be able to call my freinds as we get to know each other.
for some reason i can start my back yard chickens page to post some pics, mabey i havent been here long enough?

I learned a valuable lesson about myself this week, I gave my two pigs shots to worm them and they weren't really in the mood for such foolishness,
I grabbed my boar that weighs around 250 by his back feet and after about 3 minutes he was able to yank me off my feet he ran to one side of the pen and I used the fence where I fell to get my legs back under me,
I thought about where I work and decided that should I ever get into a fight there I have less than two minutes to win or will be taking a severe a** whoopin' (or worse)
The one consolation I did have while I was trying to get my wind back was that while I was sucking air I glanced up and saw the hog was also heaving for breath,
Not that it matters really since he won the battle,
The war however was mine to win with the help of a neighbor and a fence panel LOL

It reminded me of one of my favorite quotes
"Old age and treachery will always overcome youthful exuberance!"
