***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Cathie, I loved all the pictures! Your birds are wonderful! You jumped in with both feet getting birds the same as I did lol
Joe, my Orloffs are colored exactly like Jubilee Orps, that's what I love about Orloffs, plus they're a lot cheaper than Orps this color :)
Nick, I've wanted Gold Laced Brahmas for a long time. My Dark Brahma girls are so sweet and pretty.
This time I'm on my Nook Tablet but posting is no easier than on the other tablets. I don't see how you all post with phones.
If anyone wants a Lavender or a Brown Red Bantam Ameraucana boy let me know. And I really should place as many of my 4 rumpless Araucana boys as I can, too.
Makes me sad but I'm not going to be able to caponize them, both boys the vet did surgury on are dead now. I guess I learned an expensive lesson that most of you learned in your early bird days-if something is wrong with them there's seldom anything a vet can do.

Good morning OKIES from Wyoming! It is gorgeous weather here and we have already seen moose, bear and beaver.
Hubby says the birds are doing fine without me...I guess chickens just love the one with the feed buckets.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Welcome to our group, caution we are a bunch of enablers so be careful!!! LOL Sounds like you are way into Peafowl, great there are some on here that will enjoy that, I myself would welcome some pictures of all your birds and I am sure others would also! I am interested in your Sumatras and Yokahomas, have you been breeding them long, do you sell or trade them, do you have eggs or chicks for sale? Welcome aboard, jump right in and make yourself to home!!! Lynn

I'll have to post a picture of it tomorrow and see what you think. This is my first Bantam ever, so compared to my other chicks! IT IS TINY! I woke up at at 3am to hear screaming from one of the chicks, turns out it want the bantam, they were pecking on its feet, to the point where it drew some blood, so I had to put it in its own brooder. They were getting along just fine up until then, I wander what changed? I didnt examine its foot all that well seems how I was half asleep, so I'll have to take a better look at it when I get home from work!

Exotic birds that is a LOT of peafow!!! No posting pictures allowed..... Peafowl take up a bunch of room & your pictures will for sure get us in trouble!!! Ever since I sold my peafowl I have looked at getting more! Pretty birds, didnt think I would miss them so much. Welcome to our group. The main purpose we have is to chat about random things & share bird stories, while helping each other obtain birds we didn't even know we needed.

That red Pyle is pretty. Think he is my favorite of the birds you have posted Elbert.

Mitzi, maybe you can create a rooster island. Once I find out they are roosters they go to a large pen & have the ability to free range daily. I hardly feed them much, they forage 80% of their feed & are happy Roos. Or take the roos to Mike, if you don't get any takers. At our house we end up with way too many roos, since they are all so pretty. Think the secret is if you get 100+ birds it is hard to get attached to all of them. See Mitzi, more chickens is actually the answer to you problem!!!!
In my tablet search right now I am eyeballing the larger Nook HD+ that comes out in Nov. Think it's a solid choice considering the other tablets that are similar are $200 more. For the $200 difference I could buy all the accessories I wanted for the tablet.
The stray dog had some shock collar training yesterday. We let the goats out to play and the dog to our biggest boer down by her throat. I was shocked! And so glad DH was home. My dogs will come up to the goats & they will head butt & such.... But never actually grab a goat. Scared if he will grab a goat the neighbors calves are at risk since he is a puppy & will only get bigger. DH is picking up stuff for shots but I am not sure if stray puppy gets to stay if he doesn't act better towards the goats. Plus side he does well with chickens. Minus side-- he is a puppy & I have chewed up stuff in the yard now!
