a few pics i got yesterday- i had brought boaz(serama) and his Lady Ginger in for the nite, and was putting drops of ivomec on them and her Ladyship decided to fly to the top of the starling cage, and Boaz had to be put there, since he can't attain flight...

and while i was doing the boaz shot, Ginger decided to retreat to the diningroom table.... that girl is fast! She is an OEGB

Micheal D Nathanael was drooling over that little cream OEGB you had last weekend with the black lacing. What is that color called? It isn't like he needs more but he sure thought it was pretty.

someone suggested to me the other night that I should try to get my five year old to start showing chickens. Well, How do I go about getting info on how to get started and what not? I know my son would love to do this! My child prefers my "Chicken Health Handbook" to any of his scooby-doo books anyday! And hes pretty dang good with chickens as well! Thanks for the help guys! Glad you all are around!

If you use the search function you will find plenty of thread on showing. At 5yrs old you will have to either find a 4H group that has clover buds or go to open shows that have kid divisions.

Just a note: Be ready to invest in quality birds because even at the 4H level you will find really nice birds & it is hard to compete with just your average chicken from the feed store.

Gotcha, thank you very much. That is nice to know, because I didnt think it would be very costly! But it looks like I may be wrong! Thanks again!
