so jealous , cant wait to have some chicks n a brooder just not sure im ready for 100+ at once lol .. imagine me not thinking it totally thru before setting all the eggs at once lol

and penny still looks like a penguin...you have to take pics at least every two weeks so I know what they look like.
By the look of moes comb you may have a NN roo for your NN hens

I have 92.....turkeys, BSL, Birchen and Wheaten Marans, Silkies, Sicilian Buttercups, Arkansas Blues, Salmon Favorelles, Araucanas, Americaunas, and two of the olive eggs NN x Americauna (I kept from one of the two Ameraucanas that countryhen now has)and Cayuga ducks...lol thats a lot of dang eggs!

I have 28 eggs.. in the incubator.

I am hoping to have 15 hatch out.

These are Meat chickens from the OSU embryology project.

I don't know why they use meat chickens. We will raise them and butcher them out. But most of these eggs go into school class rooms, and it seems pretty tragic if the classes want to "raise" the chicks to take to a farm for a nice long life, only to have these franken chicks grow and only live 6-8 weeks before they have to be butchered or they just die.....

Donnie, they are all on here rarely. When Monty gets the POOPS situation planned out, they may all be involved in that, as they usually are. If I remember right, Carah and Maddy also came to the NEOCS that Coral organized in Muskogee last summer. I think she's planning another one.
