I have never done it, but if you do I've heard you should only clip one side so they are off balance and can't fly as high.Just curious about wing clipping. I've heard about, but don't know about the pros and cons nor how to go about doing it.
Thanks I think we can too but dh is being a nervous nelly about it for some reason. This from the man who took out two weight bearing walls this week and put in header beams yet he is afraid of kitchen cabinets???? LOLCathie I am certain you husband & boys can install the cabinets in just a few hours. Save your money & make the most of your live in labor. I hope your move goes well & you are able to find good homes for the rest of your birds.
I have never clipped wings. Had a friend in town who clipped her birds & the birds didn't care they still flew over her 6 ft fence.
they will continue to pick on anything that is weak or injured .. you will have to brood any birds that are weak and injured seperateHelp please!![]()
So my lil banty cochin had a cut on her leg she was not bleeding but it was opened so we thought to use blukote. We let it dry and then put her back in w everyone else, and immediately everyone else went ballistic and started pecking her. We removed her right away and washed off as much of the bluekote as we could thinking that it was that but of course cant get everything off, then just dusted her feet with flour to lighten her feet to see if that would help. Of course it didn't an I'm out of ideas, can anyone help? Thank you.![]()
