That is a mess of cuteness!

be praying donnie! hey does that hen try to get them all under her at nite??

yup she hoovers over them while they crowd under her , its actually funny , but i put a light out there for them so they dont all try and crowd up under her as much , but when its feeding time she calls them and its like a swarm of flies come runnings , they jump and climp on her back and sit there

Donnie, I will be praying for you tomorrow.
Here is a promise
"You are the God who performs miracles; You display your power among the people." Psalm 77:14

I gave up trying to log on for a few hours. My Internet connection has become as unreliable as my cell phone service.

Donnie - I nominate your broody for Mother Hen of the Year! She's amazing. I have one broody sitting on a small clutch of eggs, but she's cantankerous and mean right now. I hope she will be a mellow mommy when her eggs hatch.

Maribeth, are you still wanting a trantula?
I found this one today trying to get across the hiway so I helped him out LOL

i have 3 sussex hens broody , two on one nest together and 1 all alone , and then i have a guninea and my jubilee rir project hen broody on a nest together ... im scared to put chicks with the sussex and them not take care of them , and the rir hen wont take chicks unless she hatches them otherwise she kills them , so the leghorn hen got lucky and as long as she keeps doing a great job she can keep all of them with her , but its going to be funny as all get out to see her with the long trail of chicks following her when they get bigger , right now she has large fowl chicks , bantams , and keets ... so that will make for a great picture in a few weeks
