***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I am one happy, happy chicken momma today! Little man has a wonderful home w/ his own private haram of ladies, that he can take good care of, he had learned at the feet of the master, Oreo, now it's time to put his lessons into practice! lol (even though this is a little bit of a silly post, no wine was consumed in it's making!!! lol lol lol)

Those coops are something else, very well constructed will last for years and years. The pics are nice but in person the workmanship is soooooo obvious..

You're so sweet lol
He's totally awesome! I love this boy. Super sweet and not the tiniest bit flighty, I can't believe how calm he is. I put the 3 rumpless Araucana girls in with him and the 1st 30 min all he did was flap his wings and crow

. I'll put the 2 tailed Ara girls in there after I get a bunch of eggs from the rumpless group. Man, he's cool. Kass, seriously-thank you so very much. While I was getting pics I took a few of some of my other birds also. These 1st 2 are Little Man and his 3 no-butt girls, he loves them lol Believe it or not all the mulch was nice and raked in that pen 30 min before this picture. He's showing them how to dig :)

This is my Silver Bantam Ameraucana boy and his partner in crime (his brother) a Lavander Bantam Ameraucana, love em' both so much. I tried so hard to place these 2 after they hatched and non one wanted them. I'm SO glad now they didn't!

AI have 2 like this one-they're identical- 1/2 Faverolles and 1/2 Orloff. I hatched them last summer. Super nice boys. The Orps in with this one are the Orps I got from Bill a year ago, they dote on him. I think these 2 brothers are just stunning.

Such handsome boys, and I am so glad Little man fits in w/ your group and hopefully he'll make lots of pretty rumples tufted GIRLS for you.

My husband had an awesome idea on the way to Henryetta today....we've got another acre of yard that's fenced next to the back yard. All we have to do is open up the 2nd fence and build 3-sided shelters with roosts and aaallll the extra boys that I can't place can have the run of the whole area. They won't be protected under roofs and in buildings & I know hawks will get some...but I can give them a really good life with lots of room. It also means I can HATCH and not be so stressed over how many are boys :)
Oh....and Little Man would like to be called Big Man, if it's all the same to you. His girls call him "Manny" for short

BirdWalk (Kelly, right?), Roosters are my weakness. I've spent as much money and effort trying to keep my roosters as any of the hens. It'll be my downfall yet.

His male pride is being injured!!!!! Okay I will try and remember Big Man, but I still call my grown 40 something year old brother Jr.

That sounds like an awesome idea about the single guys bachelor area. Have you considered learning to caponize? I know you tried to get some done at the school w/o success.

Oops, I can't forget one of my most favorites. My Blue Bantam Ameraucana boy, his name's Bliz.

What a pretty roo!
I got a pair of Bantam Ameraucanas but they were so flighty. I have one pen of LF Ameraucanas now, (Wheaten). They are more mellow than the bantams were but not as calm as my Marans and my Cochins are so relaxed they must practice Yoga.
I am so happy for Little Man. He won the Powerball for chickens. He and those girls are a beautiful group.
