***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Enabler Alert -  you could get more hens so he would "spread the love" so to speak and each hen would get less attention.

Oh yeah, more hens is definitely the answer. You'd be doing the poor abused girl a favor, after all!:cd

It is cold ...brrrrrrr...outside. Light ice on top of the tubs. But the birds all raced out of their pens to nibble grass and flit and fly around in Joy.
We have been weaning calves this week...not much bawling today.

Congrats on the hatches...hope more pop put. Keep the humidity and temp up...some can take longer than we think because of temp fluctuation.

Very nice block. I like how the outer square frames the star. Good job!!!

:welcome

Brahmas and cochins, especially LF cochins are eating machines. Holy cow my feed bill tripled since I got them...

:welcome Hi Tina! My down fall was Atwoods. They are worse then crack dealers with their bins of cute chicks... Aw well I love my chickens very much! Welcome to Okie BYC... Oh and just a warning, this is the biggest group of enablers that ever existed.... heheheh!

Oh Joe is going to be thrilled... hehehe!

Been there, done that!!

I even resisted Atwoods! I got older hens that I don't have to brood. Chickens in the closet while trying to sell a house is a no no. LOL

I'm not a fan of this cold weather. I can never find my gloves from the previous one!

I believe Kyzmette's eggs are done. I told her she should name them Doekus II and Isby.

Dorcus II... I'm torn on that. I want to, but I cried like a little girl when Dorcus I died.

And I'm thinking the Isbar (pronounced Ice Bar) might get named Zima. It just seems appropriate.

I ended up with 6 little Swedish Flower chicks, can't wait to see how they mature!

Congrats Jeansrie! If you just happen to get totally tired of them and don't want them hanging around anymore, feel free to hit me up. You know... just in case. :;)

Congratulations! How precious! They are so sweet!

Anyone near the Tulsa area want a Cinnamon Queen roo? $10. My neighbor gave me the thumbs up to sell him. So please someone needs this guy! If not for a pet then maybe the stew pot? The way my poor hen is acting I have had it and wont have a roo until I have more hens. He is not aggressive and is great around children. Can meet in Claremore.

I definitely won't be able to keep but one or two. I actually have 6 more eggs in the incubator from a different breeder cause I didn't think these would make it due to the PO being so rough with them.. chicken math!

I decided to assist, due to the air cell issues, so I chipped away a zipline and moistened what looked to be a very tight and dry membrane. I put it back in the bator and went to bed, praying for the best. An explosion of peeping woke me a little after 3:00. I have a living Isbar chick! Isn't it precious?! I didn't expect any of these Isbar eggs to make it, so I'm pretty darned amazed.

Congrats!
